You've purchased your equipment, tools and supplies. You went though rv tech training or similar business school, obtained the necessary licencing and permits to operate a mobile repair business, put in place the required insurance and now you need to get the word out about your business to start making money. Question is...how do you do that?

The first thing we recommend is to have a professional website for your business. Clearly outline the services you offer, the areas you service (City, towns, counties and State). Make it easy for people to CALL you directly from your site. If they are broken down, they don't have the time or want to send you an email. Be sure your phone number is properly linked so they can "tap to call" from their smartphone.

Relevant photos are fine and encouraged but don't give into the temptation to overload your site with photos and videos that slow it down and make it difficult to navigate. Remember, you're a mobile business and most of your customers will be accessing your website from a smartphone or mobile device so be sure it's a "responsive design" meaning it will appear properly on all devices. This will also help your website with SEO (search engine optimization).

As far as listing service prices on your website, I would be cautious in providing specific prices because each job is going to be different. You will be able to get a better idea of pricing when you speak with your customer on the phone. You'll also want to consider posting a "service fee" on your website. This would be a minimum fee to travel to your customer to diagnose the issue and make the necessary repairs. It's important not to sell you or your services too low. Having operated a mobile business for many years, it's the convenience and expertise you offer that can't and shouldn't be discounted.
