What's Happening In The RV Lifestyle
Why purchase direct from Jackery.I recently purchased the Jackery Explorer 500 and the carry case for it. Full disclosure, I RV full-time but am in a park so, this isn’t intended to be used as a tool to power my devices on a regular basis but to have in the event of a power failure. As the summer 2022 heat continues across the United States, power failures, brown and black outs will likely become more prevalent. I’ll be doing a formal review of the Jackery 500 in the future, but this post is focused on the buying experience itself. When Amazon had their recent “Prime Days” event, I checked the pricing on Jackery products and they were running some pretty substantial discounts. Months ago, I subscribed to the Jackery newsletter and was receiving emails about the “Prime” specials they were running at the same time. Looking at the offers, they were pretty much identical to what Amazon was offering so I decided to further research the Jackery 500 on Amazon, Jackery and watched several YouTube reviews to be sure it would meet my needs. I decided to go ahead and purchase the Jackery Explorer 500 and accompanying carry case, but purchased it directly from Jackery. On Amazon it says it’s shipped and sold by Jackery so perhaps I saved them some of the fees charged to Amazon sellers. The other big benefit to buying direct through Jackery is the warranty is extended to 3 full years at no additional costs! This is on the Explorer 500 as well as the carrying case! Having never purchased anything directly from Jackery in the past, I needed to set up an account on their site. It was quick and easy, plus all my purchases current and future (yes, there will be more, perhaps the solar panel) will appear in my account. Communications (emails) regarding my order were exceptional! I always knew the status and when I could expect it. My order was placed late on July 12th and I received it on July 18th. Order was shipped via FedEx. Tracking the order was also very easy. The packaging was rock solid. There was no way this thing was going to get damaged! When I plugged the unit in, it was 53% charged, per the instructions, I fully charged the unit which took approximately 4 hours. Though I haven’t had the opportunity to use it yet, if it works as smoothly as the buying process, I know it will work wonderfully. I realize this isn’t an in-depth review of the Jackery Explorer 500 (that’s coming soon) but sometimes, it’s the experience with the company itself that gives you confidence in the products/services they offer.
Job well done Jackery!
